Rock Hill, S.C.----Wingate University sophomore Daniel Belsito (Charlotte, N.C.) is the third player in the history of Wingate men's tennis to be named the SAC Player of the Year, league officials announced Wednesday morning. Josep Canyadell (Lleida, Spain) is the second Bulldog to take home SAC Freshman of the Year honors. Belsito is also a first team All-SAC singles selection, while he and Josh DuToit (Charlotte, N.C.) earn first team All-SAC doubles recognition. Canyadell is a second team all-conference singles honoree.
