Wingate, N.C. ----The Wingate University football team took to the gridiron at Irwin Belk Stadium and John R. Martin Field Thursday evening for its final public pre-season scrimmage before the home and season opener on Sept. 3 against Johnson C. Smith (1:30 p.m. kick-off). WU redshirt senior quarterback Kyle Johnson (Hickory, N.C.) enters his third season as the starting signal caller for the Bulldogs and reflects on his final pre-season camp.
