Petersburg, Va.----Wingate University junior Nicolas Brown shot an NCAA-era school record 65 in the morning round, helping the Bulldogs tie for fourth place in the Griffin Invitational at the Country Club of Petersburg (par 72, 7013 yards) Monday. Wingate shot a 290 in the morning round and a 297 in the afternoon session for a 587 total. Twelve teams and 71 players are participating in this year's Griffin Invitational, hosted by Saint Leo University (complete 36-hole results).
