Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs had nine pitchers combine to allow just three earned runs on eight hits in 16 innings of work Saturday afternoon, opening up the 2019 season with a sweep over the University of West Georgia at Ron Christopher Stadium and Plyler Athletic Field. Wingate won the opener 12-3, while prevailing 3-2 in game two to start the season 2-0. The Wolves fall to 0-2.
