Wingate, N.C.----The 2019 Wingate University baseball season gets underway this weekend, with the Bulldogs hosting a three-game series against West Georgia starting with Saturday's doubleheader on ESPN3. Wingate is coming off a 34-19 season in 2018, with a 17-10 record in SAC play to finish second in the league standings. The Bulldogs earned their first at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament since 2001. Wingate was picked to finish third in the 2019 preseason SAC coaches' poll.
