Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University track and field team will begin the outdoor season Friday and Saturday at the Charlotte 49er Classic (live results; schedule; entries). Fifty-four teams and more than 1500 student-athletes are expected to participate in this year's event. The Bulldogs enter year seven of outdoor track and field competition with the Charlotte 49er Classic.
