Wingate, N.C----The Wingate University football team is a little more than one month away from taking the field for its home opener against the Johnson C. Smith University Golden Bulls at Irwin Belk Stadium and John R. Martin Field on Sept. 3. During the summer months, the grind of the off-season never stops for the Wingate football coaching staff. Among the members of this hard-working and dedicated group of men is defensive backs coach JR Clark, who was promoted to full-time status this spring.
