Austin, Texas----Two Wingate University student-athletes have been named to the Academic All-District™ III women's track & field/cross country team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). WU junior Alyssa Johnson (San Jose, Calif.) and sophomore Valerie Griesche (Ingolstadt, Germany) will advance to the national ballot for the opportunity to make one of the three Academic All-America® teams. Johnson is a two-time honoree, while Griesche is selected for the first time in her career.
