Columbia, S.C.----Wingate University senior thrower Elliot Zirwas and sophomore jumper Darius Weathers claimed top eight finishes in their signature events in the Carolina Challenge Saturday at the Carolina Indoor Track & Field Complex (complete results). Zirwas finished seventh in the men's shot put elite final (15.74 meters), while Weathers was eighth in the men's triple jump elite final (14.34 meters).
