Rock Hill, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs placed a league-high five players on the preseason All-SAC softball teams, which were released Friday afternoon. In addition, Wingate was picked to finish fifth in the preseason SAC coaches poll. Senior infielder Mellena Helms (Concord, N.C.) is a preseason All-SAC first team selection, along with sophomore outfielder Morgan Hendrix (Mocksville, N.C.). Seniors Stacey Houser (Mooresville, N.C.), Taylor Laskey (Cherryville, N.C.) and Emily Usiak (Matthews, N.C.) are second team selections.
