Jefferson City, Tenn.----The Carson-Newman University Eagles shot 50 percent from beyond the arc in the second half, outscoring visiting Wingate University 49-36 in the final 20 minutes en route to a 92-78 victory in South Atlantic Conference men's basketball action. Carson-Newman improves to 3-4 overall and 1-1 in the SAC, while the Bulldogs fall to 4-4 on the season and 0-3 in league play.
