Wingate, N.C.----The nation's stingiest defense, Wingate University piled up a season-high 106 digs and 15.5 blocks Thursday night, holding visiting Queens University to a season-low .026 hitting percentage in a 3-1 victory in South Atlantic Conference volleyball action in Cuddy Arena. Wingate won by scores of 26-24, 25-20, 22-25 and 25-11 to move to 21-1 overall and 13-1 in the SAC, while the Royals fall to 15-5 overall and 12-3 in league play, seeing their eight-match winning streak come to an end.
