Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs get the 2019 season underway this week, traveling to Charlotte to face Johnson C. Smith Thursday, Sept. 5 at 6 p.m. Wingate is coming off a 9-4 season, going 5-2 in league play and earning an NCAA play-off bid for the second straight year. The 'Dogs were picked second in the preseason SAC coaches poll and are ranked 21st in the AFCA preseason top 25.
