Wingate, N.C.----Wingate University student-athletes and coaches reserve the first Saturday of the school year for the United Way Day of Caring. The 27th annual version of this event was Saturday, August 24. The Bulldog family had 335 volunteers at the event, including 257 student-athletes. Later in the morning, the 160-member Wingate football team hosted its annual Special Olympics Field Day.
