Wingate, N.C.----The top-seeded and 13th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs captured their third straight SAC Tournament championship Sunday afternoon, defeating the 16th-ranked Queens University Royals 11-9 in the championship game of the 2019 South Atlantic Conference men's lacrosse tournament at Graham Gill Field. This was the second straight week the Bulldogs and Royals met with a SAC title on the line; with Wingate prevailing 11-9 in both meetings. The three-time defending SAC tournament champion Bulldogs are 13-3 overall, while the Royals fall to 13-4 on the season.
