Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs scored the final four runs of the game Sunday afternoon, getting the go-ahead RBI single with two outs in the eighth inning from Zach Little to down Tusculum University 7-6 in South Atlantic Conference baseball action at Ron Christopher Stadium and Plyler Athletic Field. Wingate improves to 11-7 overall and 3-3 in the SAC, while the Pioneers see their 12-game winning streak come to an end, falling to 13-8 overall and 2-1 in league play.
