Salisbury, N.C.----Wingate University senior right-hander Austin Turgeon tossed eight strong innings Sunday evening, while Tanner Forry hit a pair of homers to lead the Bulldogs to a 6-1 victory over fifth-ranked Catawba College in South Atlantic Conference baseball action. Wingate improves to 9-3 overall and 1-0 in the SAC, while the Indians fall to 12-2 overall and 0-1 in league play.
