Rock Hill, S.C.----The eight-time defending South Atlantic Conference regular season champion Wingate University Bulldogs have been picked to finish first in the preseason SAC women's tennis coaches poll, which was released Friday morning. Michela Verpelli and Claudia De Andreis are preseason first team All-SAC selections, while Chyi Lee and Sydney Homan earn second team honors. Wingate went 21-5 last season, with a 10-0 mark in league play while pushing its SAC winning streak to 69 matches. The 'Dogs hosted the NCAA Regionals for the first time in program history in 2018.
