Rock Hill, S.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs have been picked to finish third in the preseason South Atlantic Conference baseball coaches poll, which was released Tuesday morning. Senior right-hander Austin Turgeon is a preseason first team All-SAC selection, while senior third baseman Tyler Schneider and junior second baseman McCann Mellett are second team honorees. The 'Dogs are coming off a 34-19 season, going 17-9 in SAC play while earning their first at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament since 2001.
