Wingate, N.C.----Last month, Hurricane Florence severely impacted areas of North Carolina, with fellow NCAA Division II school UNC Pembroke taking a huge hit. The damage from the storm caused the school to close for two weeks, with the surrounding area suffering huge damages. Wingate held a Hurricane Florence relief effort over Family Weekend, raising money and taking donations to help the people at UNC Pembroke. In total, Wingate raised $6,226.97 and presented a check during Saturday night's Wingate at UNC Pembroke football game.
