Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University men's and women's cross country teams open the 2018 season Friday evening, traveling to Boone for the Covered Bridge Open hosted by Appalachian State, starting at 6 p.m. Both teams are coming off top-three finishes in last year's South Atlantic Conference meet and are top three picks in this year's preseason poll.
