Indianapolis, Ind.----Wingate University is one of 19 schools and two conferences who have been named finalists for the 2018 Division II Award of Excellence, an honor recognizing campus and community engagement efforts over the past year (complete NCAA release). Wingate University Athletics was honored for its role in hosting the inaugural Union County Public Schools (UCPS) Books and Brackets Celebration on Friday, March 31, 2017 in Cuddy Arena on the Wingate campus.
