New York, N.Y.----Wingate University redshirt senior offensive lineman Daniel Owens (Cherryville, N.C.) is an Associated Press NCAA Division II All-America second team member, officials announce this week (NCAA.com article). Owens is the first Wingate offensive lineman to make an All-American team since Bulldog Sports Hall of Fame members Jerry Ratchford and Jimmy Sutton received similar distinctions in 1990 and 1989, respectively.
