Rock Hill, S.C.----Wingate University senior outside hitter Katie Bludau (Seabrook, Texas) has been named the 2017 South Atlantic Conference Volleyball Player of the Year, league officials announced Wednesday morning. Bludau is also a first team All-SAC selection, joining junior middle blocker Anna Holmquist (Lincoln, Nebr.). Junior libero Kori Adams (Ayden, N.C.), along with sophomores Rachel Alles (Tinley Park, Ill.) and Phoebe Havenaar (Naperville, Ill.) are second team all-conference selections, while Anne Abernathy (Knoxville, Tenn.) earns a spot on the All-SAC Freshman Team.
