Rock Hill, S.C.---- Wingate University redshirt sophomore tight end Wade Johnson (Holly Springs, N.C.) is the 2017 South Atlantic Conference Elite 20 honoree for football, league officials shared with a record-setting crowd in Wingate's Irwin Belk Stadium and John R. Martin Field Saturday night. This award honors the student-athlete with the top cumulative grade-point average (based on a minimum of 48 credit hours) in each of the league's 20 team championship sports.
