Wingate, N.C.----On Friday, Sept. 8, Wingate University defeated North Greenville to give head volleyball coach Shelton Collier career victory number 1,000. In his 35 years of coaching on the NCAA Division I and II level, Collier has a record of 1,000-283, good for a winning percentage of .779. He ranks fifth in wins amongst active coaches in all of NCAA volleyball. Collier is only the ninth head coach in the history of NCAA volleyball to reach the 1,000-win plateau.
