Newton, N.C.----The Wingate University women's cross country team won its second meet in seven days, bringing home the hardware in the 2017 Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational at Southside Park. The Bulldog men claimed second place behind the host LRU Bears. Five women's teams and six men's teams participated in this year's event, which serves as a preview for the South Atlantic Conference championship meet Oct. 21 on the same course.
