Rock Hill, S.C.----Wingate University senior Alyssa Johnson (San Jose, Calif.) is the 2017 South Atlantic Conference women's track and field Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while classmate Jacob Troutman (Aberdeen, N.C.) is the SAC men's track and field Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The Bulldog duo is recognized for their achievements in academics, athletics, service and leadership.
