Wingate, N.C.----Wingate University sophomore forward/guard Danasia Witherspoon (Hickory, N.C.) had 17 points, six rebounds and two blocked shots to lead the host Bulldogs to a 61-54 South Atlantic Conference women's basketball victory over Newberry College Wednesday night in Cuddy Arena and Thomas Koontz Family Court. Wingate has won five straight contests.
